Of course I did. But all of this knowledge has swelled my head, pushed my hair back a bit, you see.

People always wonder why I love Quest for Camelot so much.  I give you the reason right here.
The animators never anticipated DVDs and pause buttons, I swear to god.

[omg….what even]

Worse Comes to Worst

“But you can’t be glad for it. I mean, how can someone be happy or even content without love? Purpose? Or -or something?!” Kayley asks, bewildered. He couldn’t be serious, could he? She didn’t understand how anyone could deal with being completely alone. She went crazy being by herself at times. She’d always ended up talking to herself, singing, or humming. Anything to keep herself entertained or distracted. “Don’t you get lonely? Or bored? Anything?” She presses on with the questioning, “I mean, you’re a terrible person, but don’t you like some sort of companionship?”

She was stung by his comment. “I’m not desperate. I just…” Kayley looks away, tears stinging her eyes. “You wouldn’t understand anyways.” She clears her throat and hardens her voice. “Thanks for the warnings though, awfully kind of you. I’ll keep them in mind.” She’d completely given up on her fleeting notion that these creatures who’d helped Ruber would help her. She couldn’t believe she’d been so foolish.

Kayley stumbles along behind the hulking red-haired man, trying not to fall too far behind in the forest. This forest was so different from the Forbidden Forest. It was darker and there was a different sort of vibe here, it was dark and foreboding. She wondered how long it would take to get back to the cave. She wanted to get away from Ruber. She didn’t want to keep his company much longer.

“Stupid, hmm?” She questions, tilting her head. “Did they create that potion you had or…?” Kayley trails off. “They weren’t evil then? I mean, they were just gypsies? I thought perhaps you’d had an alliance or something.” She shrugs.

“Yes, they made the potion, but you would get better results from a vial of ox piss.” He sighed. He had been less than thrilled with how that potion had worked. The titans he had created were all exceptionally stupid and useless, the only thing it was good for was binding Excalibur to him, and even that backfired.

At last, he could see the glow from the sun outside of the forest. He hadn’t thought they had ventured so far in. He picked up his pace a bit and burst through the opening of the woods, glad for once to see the wretched sun. He stomped off towards his camp and dropped the deer carcass at the mouth of his cave, he would need the light to clean it later. He spun around and snarled at Kayley.

“Whether I understand or not, you are still desperate. For whatever reason, you are desperate for a quick solution to your problem.” he pointed out, annoyed with the fact that she was trying to hide her issues from him.

“NOW. To clarify. I do not need companionship, I do not want it. There is no one ‘waiting for me’ or longing for me to come home after I’ve changed my wicked ways. I care for me, myself, and I. That is all there ever will be for me to care about AND I QUITE LIKE IT THAT WAY.” he yelled, unable as always, to control his temper.

“Now leave.” He said, nodding his head towards the hill that would take her home to her cozy pathetic cottage.

“And give my love to the husband.” He spat, diving into his cave to retrieve his knives so he could finally have some blasted dinner without any annoying interruptions.
